Through extensive experience in the design, manufacture and management of crane projects, McKay is uniquely qualified to both design the crane mechanically and to review the designs of a selected manufacturer. McKay effectively advises buyers on specification compliance insuring that contractually required capabilities are being provided. Review frequently provides the manufacturer with more effective alternates that improve the effectiveness of the equipment while, at the same time, represent a lower cost.
Design review of a project forces the manufacturer to utilize the time proven systems and procedures that are his intentions at the beginning of the project but frequently are sidestepped in an attempt to cut cost or recover schedule. The bypassing of these steps significantly increases project risk.
